Ludmila (Lucy) Georgieva

Lucy is a highly experienced digital leader, lawyer and policy professional with a strong track record in tech, EU diplomacy and the public sector with 20 years of experience. She oversees Google's policy work in Austria but joined Google in Brussels as EU Policy Lead for Privacy & Security back in 2019. Prior to Google, Lucy was diplomat and Special Attachée for Cybersecurity, Data Protection and Media Policy at the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU. Before going to Brussels, she worked at NGOs, law firms and the Austrian public administration in Vienna. Lucy is a frequent speaker and publisher, and holds a master and doctorate in law.
