Margit Mischkulnig

Margit Mischkulnig has been Head of Department for Space Affairs at the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) since September 2017. Her areas of expertise are macro- and microeconomics with a special focus on industrial policy and unlocking the potential of strategic innovation areas. She joined the BMK (then BMVIT) in 2015 and served in the cabinet of ministers responsible for innovation and technology. Margit Mischkulnig worked at the Federal Ministry of Finance, the European Commission and the World Bank Group and holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Vienna.
