Leonie Heitz

Leonie Heitz has been ORF's France correspondent since 2019. Born in Cologne Germany, she studied Political Science, African Studies and Ethnology, completing part of her studies in Tanzania and France. A vivid interest in the European Union took her to Brussels, where she worked for the German ARD's office and then joined ORF. Passing through Brexit-bound London during 2017-2019, she has now been covering French politics, society and culture for almost 5 years. Due to her background in African Studies, she is now also covering African affairs for ORF.
