Karin Cheng

Karin is an artistic creator through movement and music. Because of her personal background she has had an early fascination for different views and living realities. This is implemented within her current artistic practice. Karin sees herself as an idea of a bridge which builds through celebrating individual and cultural multiplicity through dance & music. She is the mother of the Kiki House of Dive and founder of frisch getanzt – both focusing on articulating and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, providing access to resources, knowledge, tools and reframing dance & stories, so that it embodies who WE are. Karin is also part of the DJ collective “A party called jack” and “Hotpotposse”
