Christian Schimper is a graduate of food and biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria, and holds a doctorate in cellulose chemistry. His focus is on sustainable innovation. As co-founder of Acticell, he developed novel processes and environmentally friendly chemicals for the denim industry. Since 2022, he has headed the Josef Ressel Research Center ReSTex for Textile Recycling at the Biotech Campus Tulln of the Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences.
