Environmental Social Governance: Increasing the importance of social responsibility in companies, in politics and for all of us

In addition to ecological and economic sustainability, one term is becoming increasingly important: social sustainability. This term describes the responsibility with regard to the prohibition of making irreversible decisions in the present that may not be wanted by future generations. The focus here is on equal opportunities, the distribution of roles, social burdens and work, and the fight against unemployment. Social sustainability seems to be becoming more and more important for companies, as consumers in particular are increasingly demanding this responsibility. But to what extent do companies implement this responsibility? Where does responsibility begin and how can these actions be measured in the future? ORF journalist Monika Kalcsics discusses this with Valerie Höllinger (Managing Director & Board Member of Austrian Standards), Hannah Lux (Social Entrepreneur & Systemic Consultant), Markus Mooslechner (CEO Terra Mater Studios), Eva Czernohoszky (Head of Technology Services Wirtschaftsagentur) and Saskia Bruysten (Co-Founder & Executive Co-Chair Yunus Social Business School).
