Sepp Schellhorn

Hotelier & Gastronomer // Joseph Schellhorn GmbH

Sepp Schellhorn, born in 1967, is happily married and father of 3 children. After hotel management school and military service in the USA, France and Italy - combined with many new impressions of culinary delights - he took over the "Seehof" in Goldegg am See in 1996. With the diploma conclusion promptly followed in 2004 the establishment of the Joseph Schellhorn GmbH and the assumption of further restaurants like the "Angertal 1180", "Weitblick", "Goldbergstube" and the "Bellevue Alm", one of the oldest ski huts in the Gasteiner valley. Most recently, he breathed new life into his home restaurant "Bierwirt" after years of abstinence, so that after more than 4 years freshly tapped beer bubbles from the taps. From 2003 - 2013 he was president of the Austrian Hoteliers Association, before fulfilling the function as a member of the National Council from 2014 - 2021. Sepp is also involved in the cultural sector, especially for literature, which he promotes by awarding annual stipends to authors and artists.
