Is capitalism the enemy of the climate? Traditional economic models ignore well-being and disregard the future. But what does value really mean on a finite planet? Some climate activists believe we must end capitalism to achieve neutral carbon emissions by 2050. On the other side is the misinformation - believed by many voters - that human-caused climate change is not "real": that means pro-business politicians have a democratic incentive to ignore climate reality.
