As joint organizers of the 4GAMECHANGERS Festival 2023, Michael Stix (ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4) and Oliver Böhm (ORF Enterprise) kicked off the second day of the festival today, upholding the festival's motto "The Power of Cooperation". Oliver Böhm, CEO ORF-Enterprise: "I am very pleased that we are standing together on this stage as representatives of ORF and the largest private broadcasting group. It's an important and great signal to politicians, customers and the advertising industry that we can achieve much more together."
Michael Stix, CCO of the ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 Group added: "When you have competitors who hold the genre of television and streaming so high, the quality and the Austrian content, then it is even more fun to create something new here in cooperation. Not only to be partners together at the 4GAMECHANGERS Festival, but also with our SuperStreamer Joyn, which we're launching here at the festival. That, when it comes to the future, is an important topic."
On 4FUTURE Day, the focus was on important future topics and the Next Gen. On the topics of climate, sustainability, jobs, education, health and social issues, renowned top speaker:in discussed in exciting panels, lectures and talk rounds.
The joint keynote address by former United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and former German Federal President Heinz Fischer focused on coexistence on the planet. For Fischer, the future is in the hands of the young generation: "Young people have a lot of energy and are committed, they want to bring new ideas to the ground. [...] Our task is to ensure that the young are not let down by their elders. It's our stated goal to make sure that decisions are made where the younger generation has a place and a say - that they are heard."
The 4GAMECHANGERS Festival and the Ban Ki-Moon Center share the same vision: to create a world where there is a place for everyone and to advance the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. "At this event, we have brought together so much diversity and opportunity in one place," Ban Ki-Moon said in his video message. "As humanity, we have a moral responsibility to take action for the future of our people and our planet," the former United Nations Secretary-General appealed to the audience.
Parenthood and education are also brought into focus. 4GAMECHANGERS founder and ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 CEO Markus Breitenecker emphasizes that these topics are generally still far from the ideal of equality: "The organizational work and mental load actually lie exclusively with women, and that's an understandable criticism and grievance." Author and journalist Mareice Kaiser sees politics as responsible: "Mothers in particular always have the feeling of failing [...] and the perceived failure is not down to us, it's a political problem."
In the fight against the climate crisis, cooperation is needed: "The challenge [of climate change] is complex and we will only succeed if we work together across all sectors," says Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler.
The Next Gen places completely new demands on employers and managers and requires flexibility. To this end, Minister of Economics and Labor Martin Kocher says on stage: "That's where politics is challenged to find even more differentiated solutions."
Mental health is still a taboo in many areas. At 4FUTURE Day, the topic is receiving the attention it needs. Entrepreneur Komal Minhas shows in her keynote how important it is to deal with one's own well-being: "Resilience is the safety net that catches us when we fall. And we will fall."
The 4FUTURE Day on the Global Stage was hosted by Conny Lee (FM4), Alex Kratki (PULS 4), Julia Furdea (PULS 4) and Elke Rock (Ö3). Cabaret artist and actress Aida Loos provided good humor and lots of laughs on 4FUTURE Day. Pop star Mathea will provide the musical highlight at 21:00.
A strong line-up also on Wednesday, 4GAMECHANGERS Day: Human rights activist Amal Clooney, ski star Mikaela Shiffrin and ProSiebenSat.1 Group CEO Bert Habets will speak. The musical highlight will be provided by Sportfreunde Stiller.
