Walter Kuba has always been fascinated by the intersection of Medicine, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. After he received his M.Sc. with specialization in Synthetic Chemistry at the TU Wien, he applied for a Ph.D.-project at the intersection of the aforementioned fields. Thus, he is currently working towards his Ph.D. as a Chemical Biologist at the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) in cooperation with the Vienna University of Technology. To this end, he is developing bioorthogonal tools focusing on cleavage reactions and a new rapid radiolabeling method.
