Tom Doctoroff is a Senior Executive Advisor for Prophet, the world’s largest independent marketing and consulting company. Tom is regarded as one of Asia’s most accomplished brand builders and experts in Chinese consumer behavior and psychology. He was the CEO of J, Walter Thompson Asia Pacific until July 2016 and has published three best-selling books – Billions: Selling to the New Chinese Consumer; What Chinese Want: Culture, Communism and China’s Modern Consumer; and Twitter is Not a Strategy: Rediscovering the Art of Brand Marketing. Tom appears frequently in renowned publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal and New York Times to the Financial Times and is an active speaker at premier events such as JP Morgan’s China Summit and the International Advertising Association’s Global Congress. In addition to serving on several pro bono boards, Tom is also an adjunct professor of marketing at Baruch College in New York City and the Chicago Booth School of Business.
