From 1983 until 2013, Richard Lindzen was the Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at MIT. He has also held professorships at Harvard and the University of Chicago. His Ph.D and A.B. are from Harvard. He is a member of the US National Academy of Sciences, the Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He continues activities at MIT. He is also president of the CO2 Coalition and a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute.
