Carina Margreiter is program manager of the Global Incubator Network Austria at the Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH (aws). In close cooperation with partners and co-managed by FFG, the program focuses on startups, investors and incubators and bridges the Austrian startup ecosystem with hotspots in Asia (Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Mainland China). Carina’s activities focus on strategic work related to the acceleration program for Austrian startups towards Asia (goAsia) and the implementation of initiatives for Austrian and Asian incubators and accelerators supporting them in their internationalization plans. Furthermore, she is responsible for international investor’s relations at GIN. Through her past experience (e.g. UC Berkeley, Innovation Management, Startup/Corporate- Matchmaking), Carina has great insights into the Austrian startup community and excellent contacts to Asian startup hotpots. The Global Incubator Network (GIN) Austria is the single point of contact in Austria for startups, investors and incubators. It connects the Austrian startup ecosystem with hotspots in Asia (Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Mainland China).
GIN is a flagship program, initiated by the Austrian government. It offers programs and services for startups interested in Austria and for Austrian startups searching for cooperation partners in Asia. GIN connects investors as well as incubators and accelerators, providing access to selected targets and an international network of key players in innovation and finance. With great expertise in the Austrian startup ecosystem, GIN and its partners offer exciting services tailored to fit your individual needs. The Global Incubator Network is managed by the public agencies aws and FFG, owned by the Federal Government of Austria, and is based on international bilateral cooperation agreements in the target regions. Both agencies are operating various funding programs supporting Austria’s economy.
