Maxim Katz was born on December 23, 1984 in Moscow. He is an opposition politician in Russia for more than 10 years. In 2012, Maxim Katz was elected a municipal deputy from the Party “Yabloko” of the Moscow district of Shchukino. His key idea as a deputy was to improve the urban environment, and together with public figure Ilya Varlamov, he created the Foundation “City Projects”. This non-profit organization brings together urbanists from all over Russia who are developing projects to improve streets and their cities. In 2013, Maxim participated in the election headquarters of Alexei Navalny in the Moscow mayoral elections. Over the past few years, Maxim Katz has been successfully developing his personal YouTube-channel, where he creates high-quality content about politics, urbanism and history. By June 2022, the number of subscribers has reached more than 1.4 million people!
