Katharina Swoboda

Head of Communications and Goverment Affairs // Siemens Austria

Katharina Swoboda has been head of the communications department at Siemens Austria since 2011. In this position, she has budget and personnel responsibility for 26 countries (from Austria, the CEE region and Israel to Central Asia). Prior to that, she gained experience in the field of politics in Austria and abroad. Actually a law graduate, she spent two years in Brussels after graduation and then helped shape the largest EU enlargement to date through her work at the DACH Association of the Federation of Austrian Industries. She then spent five years as a press officer at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of the Interior. "I find it exciting to know both sides, business and politics," says Swoboda.
