Although the proportion of women in STEM professions is increasing, there is still an enormous amount of unused female potential. The reasons for this are often well-known, such as shorter involvement in working life due to part-time jobs and maternity leave, a lack of knowledge about the prospects of all these occupational fields, possibly also a lack of courage to take up one of these professions, and many more. However, the credo must be: break down old role clichés, offer opportunities, use talents, play a decisive role in shaping the future. On this panel, we would like to discuss the possibilities, measures and the elimination of societal disruptive factors that could bring a larger share of women into STEM professions in the future.
